A little help for grown-ups.

There is no right speed, perfect picture or finishing requirement. Start with a page your child is excited about.

One activity, or a whole afternoon.

Single activities contain one worksheet. Mazes, spot-the-difference activities and logic puzzles include a separate answer page. Full packs contain six activities and two grown-up pages.

Some standalone activities are also included in packs. The additional circle, spiderweb, branching and shape-rule mazes are separate activities with their own answer keys. Coloring scenes and paper crafts share an open-ended ages 4-8 edition. Our earlier packs retain their original ages 5-8 guide.

Two ways into the same story.

AGES 4-5

A gentle start

Three added details to spot, a 5 x 5 maze, picture patterns and a three-step drawing guide and a picture to finish. Read aloud and let your child point, talk or draw an answer.

AGES 6-8

A little challenge

Six added details to find, a 10 x 10 maze, a clue puzzle and a picture starter and a three-part story challenge. Reading clues together is part of the fun.

Both editions share the coloring scene and paper project. Their puzzle and storytelling pages differ. Ages are suggestions, not developmental assessments; the packs have not yet been tested with families.

  1. Choose A4 or US Letter to match the paper in your printer.
  2. Open the PDF in a PDF reader. Print one page first at actual size or 100%.
  3. If an edge is clipped, choose Fit to printable area.
  4. For a single activity, print page 1; when included, page 2 is the answer. For a full pack, print pages 1-6 for children and keep pages 7-8 for yourself.
  5. Use crayons or pencils. A grown-up should handle scissors for the paper projects.

Made for a small, happy pause.

Paper Picnic is currently free, with no account, advertising or required email address. You may print for your household or one classroom or group you personally teach or care for.

The scene illustrations are AI-assisted and reviewed for this collection. Puzzle differences are placed deliberately on identical artwork, maze paths are verified and clue puzzles are checked for a unique answer. These checks are not a substitute for real family feedback.
